Mike Huckabee endorses Sam
Sam is running for State Representative on the values that have made this nation great. “As our Founding Fathers stated in the Declaration of Independence, I believe that the role of government is to secure the rights granted to us by our Creator and not to provide for our every need,” Teasley said. “I am running for State Representative to be a voice for those values of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
Governor Huckabee commented on why he is supporting Sam. “One of the people I got to know well during my campaign for the Presidency was Sam Teasley. Sam is not a typical politician, he’s a businessman, a family man and because of that he better understands the complicated issues facing Georgia’s businesses and families. We need more principled leaders like Sam; with them in office our country wouldn’t be in the mess we’re in today. I am excited about Sam’s candidacy and I hope you join me in supporting him.”
“I am deeply grateful to have Governor Huckabee’s enthusiastic support. He is a national leader on the issues that matter most to our country: fair taxation, limited government, and personal responsibility. It is an honor not only to have his endorsement, but also to call him friend,” Teasley responded.
As a small business person, Sam recognizes that there must be accountability in government to balance its books and not pass on a legacy of debt and government dependency to our children. “The people of Georgia are looking for their elected officials to represent common sense conservative values at the State House. All too often, politicians take a ‘government knows best’ mentality. I am committed to earning the public’s trust by serving with transparency, responsiveness, and responsibility.”
In 2008, Sam’s opponent defeated the Republican incumbent by only 484 votes out of over 16,000 cast. Many political observers agree that this election will be one of the best chances for a Republican pickup in the Georgia House on November 2nd.
